Thom, his brother Max (Scotland, Castres), cousin Kai Horstmann (Harlequins, Exeter Chiefs) and Proverb Co-founder Luke Sherriff (Harlequins) played schoolboy, England 7s and Premiership rugby together and have many close links in the rugby family and beyond. Thom retired from rugby in 2010 after breaking his neck in a 6 Nations match against Wales. His cervical vertebrae had been knocked so badly out of place, medics revealed he was literally millimeters from paralysis or death. Despite enormous odds Thom managed a comeback playing Rugby 7s for Scotland in 2015. However, as he stood on the pitch he realised despite his unbelievable physical recovery the fear of repeating the injury was real enough to force him to make the brave decision to follow his dreams off the pitch.
Thom has since gone on to modeling and acting via competing for the Strictly Come Dancing ‘Glitter Ball’. Thom is also very close to his older brother Max, both of whom are ultimately dedicated to training, fitness and their health. Thom is the face of Proverb as he lives and breathes the ethos Get Out What You Put In.
He trains hard, loves sport, eats clean and is passionate and excited about life, the epitomy of being lifefuelled. He is a true gentleman, dedicated to his family, considerate and very highly thought of by team mates and now fellow celebrities. He believes in everything Proverb stands for and is committed to winning!
