Refillable? This product has a Proverb ‘reload’, part of our minimal waste skincare system. On order one, you get the outer box, glass bottle and pump. On all ongoing orders you do not get the box or pump. You reuse your pump from order one. The bottle will arrive with a small recyclable aluminium cap. Globally pumps and atomisers are very hard to recycle as they are mixed materials so we are on a mission to get rid of them. You only need one.

Natural & organic? Entirely natural with organic ingredients. Most brands would happily say 100%. Proverb means truth. All emulsions made in the UK have to have a preservative. We use the organic certification allowed preservative dehydroacetic acid. Although you are allowed to label it natural it isn’t truly. There is 0.6% in the bottle as legally required.

In vitro & in vivo lab proven actives? Yes, we have selected many active ingredients with strong in vitro and in vivo testing results for the individual ingredients. Combining this with researching the source, origins and ethics of each ingredient.

‘Clean’ brands tend to be younger and newer to market and thus don’t usually invest the large amount of funds needed to clinically trial products to prove results in an independent lab. Not us; we are firmly committed to do this as the clean, organic and natural sector has to prove it works. As we grow the brand, we will grow the investment into clinical testing as a priority but below are our test results so far!

CHIA SEED OIL

Chia seed is cited as the richest botanical source of omega 3 which is a powerful anti-inflammatory when applied topically. Helps improve skin barrier function and trans epidermal water loss to prevent skin dehydration.

RICE BRAN OIL

Rice bran oil combines Vitamin E, fatty acids and squalene to deeply moisturise, reduce appearance of find lines and make skin look brighter. Antioxidants like beta-carotene and lycopene protect from environmental stressors, and enzymes like CoQ10 provide active components that help it maintain its youthful glow. It’s omega 3 content can help lessen inflammation and soothe joint pain.

BROCCOLI SEED OIL

Highly moisturising and highly impressive omega fatty acid and vitamin content, absorbs quickly Contains arachiodonic acid, an omega 6 that can help reduce inflammatory skin conditions.

CARROT SEED OIL

Rich in beta carotene anti-oxidants to protect skin from environmental damage, carrot seed oil also provides skin with some natural SPF

COCONUT OIL

Helps reduce inflammation, keeps skin moisturised and helps heal wounds. The medium-chain fatty acids found in coconut oil also possess antimicrobial properties that can help treat acne and protect the skin from harmful bacteria.

For best results use Body Focus Oil after exercise or before bed.

A dry oil, this product is meant to used sparingly to all the product to be absorbed. The wild mint and eucalyptus fragrance will leave you feeling focused and fresh. A strong wild peppermint and eucalyptus blend will give you an uplifting menthol kick. The fragrance is multi-layered with geranium and lavender in the background.

The texture is a golden oil. It has been blended to be a ‘dry oil’, purposefully not too oily.
