Proverb deodorant is made only with ingredients derived from nature. We approach our formulas like we would a Nutribullet smoothie, if you wouldn’t want it in you we won’t put it on you.

What do you not put in the deodorant?
No Aluminium, No aerosol gases/propellants, No Petroleum, Propylene Glycol or PEGs, No Artificial Fragrance, No Parabens or synthetic preservatives, No Tricolsan, No Phalates, No Alcohol, No GM modified ingredients.

Why does Proverb not use aluminium?
Aluminium is used to plug the sweat glands in your armpits and block them - it does this very successfully. However, the problem with this is, there has been many medical discussions about Aluminium having potentially harmful risks on your health - especially as it is being sprayed into a lymph node filled armpit. We don’t think it is worth the risk!

Will it work during sport?
Yes, we formulated it to do just that, and the years’ worth of beta testing reviews we have had back confirm this. If you do, do a lot of sport we would always suggest wearing the ACTIVE Proverb Deodorants as these have been formulated to deliver the most body odour impact.

How should I dispose of the paper wrap and sticker the refill is in?
The paper wrap and sticker can both go straight into your normal paper recycling stream or compost pile. The wrap is 100% plastic-free. The sticker adhesive and paper is biodegradable & made from sugar cane, hemp, and linen.

How do I fill my case & change my refill?

How do I clean my outer reusable case?
Your case can be washed and is also dishwasher safe.

How much do you save on subscription?
Proverb subscription service offers you a saving of 20% ongoing off the full product RRP with the added benefit of never running out.

Can I opt out at any time?
Yes, you have full control. You can pause, skip or cancel it at any time. Once you have set up your subscription you will be able to access your online account. Click on ‘Manage Subscriptions’ and you can alter the subscription in any way you need to.

Can I subscribe to different products & flavours?
Absolutely, you can subscribe to as many product types / flavours as you need and again, can add or subtract from the products you subscribe to at any time.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all types of major credit and debit cards and Paypal. After payment, you will receive a delivery tracking link for your order.

Do you have a no quibble refund and returns policy?

We have this on all Proverb products, deodorant included. If you’re not happy with it for any reason, just return it for a full refund within 30 days. Problem solved.  

To be eligible for a return, your item must be returned to the shipping address below. Please email returns@proverbskin.com to let us know the reason for your return to see if we can help solve the issue to avoid needless shipping. We are always looking for feedback and ways we can improve but ultimately if the product is not for you then we will refund with no quibbles.  

Where do you ship?  

Worldwide is the short answer.  

In the UK we predominantly use Yodel  for our standard and FREE 2-3 day service or DPD Local for our Premium Next Day service, who with their predictive 1-hour delivery slot and easy to use consumer app have a 99% success rate on delivering first time.  

We use a range of couriers including the Royal Mail and Hermes we do offer worldwide delivery and the cost and expected timings are below.  

How much does delivery cost?  

FREE STANDARD UK Shipping: FREE on orders over £20. 2–3-day service with Yodel/Hermes on orders up to 5kg.

STANDARD UK Shipping: £1.95. We offer a 2–3-day service with Yodel/Hermes on orders up to 5kg.

PREMIUM UK Next Day: £3.95. Delivery the following working day for orders placed before 2pm on the previous working day (UK only). On orders up to 25kg.

US/CANADA/SWITZERLAND/NORWAY/ICELAND: FREE on orders over £100. Below that 0-2kg is £15 and 2-5kg is £35.00. Standard Delivery Option Only - Usually 6-10 working days. Allow up to 21 working days for delivery. Customer is responsible of any duties.

INTERNATIONAL/INCLUDING EU: £45. Standard Delivery Only - Usually 10-15 working days. Allow up to 21 working days for delivery. Unfortunately due to Brexit and the complexity this has created we are not responsible for import duties on delivery

Does Proverb support any charities?
We are committed to giving them 10% a year of our annual profits to projects we believe in which so far have included WATERAID, Hygiene Bank and Plastic Bank. Our Hand Sanitiser donates 'one for one' via The Hygiene Bank to children in child poverty in the UK. Proverb was created to improve the health of our customers, the planet and people we will never meet but need our help.

Where is the deodorant made?
In Cambridge, England. It is then housed in our beautiful barn in Melbourne, Derbyshire, as this is literally ‘stick a pin in the middle of the UK’ so it can be distributed far and wide.
