Suitable for heavy make up?If you wear a lot of make-up, we would suggest you use an oily balm based cleanser first and then use this Cleanse & Shave Mud as your second cleanse. We have amazing results in our salons doing this but for very heavy eye make-up something oilier would work better first. Truthful as always!

Compostable? Yes. Don’t be fooled by the magpie silver gleam inside the sachet. They will home compost in 26 weeks at ambient temperatures and leave no eco soil toxicity.

Natural & organic? Entirely natural with organic ingredients. Most brands would happily say 100%. Proverb means truth. All emulsions made in the UK have to have a preservative. We use the organic certification allowed preservative dehydroacetic acid. Although you are allowed to label it natural it isn’t truly. There is 0.6% in the bottle as legally require.

Antarctic glycoproteins- With its natural cryoprotective properties against water loss and dry skin allied with increased Collagen synthesis by up to 34% and the ability to reduce wrinkles depth by an average of 44% in just 30 days, this sustainably sourced marine supplement will lead to a younger and firmer-looking complexion.
Freeze-dried acai berry powder has the highest ORAC value (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) of any other fruit/berry per 100g serving.
Energising Facial Scrub
We have not clinically trialled the scrub as a full formula as it is a wash-off product. Instead, we chose superfood-based ingredients with impressive nutritional profiles. This isn’t usually the case as most formulations leave out the good stuff in wash of products.
Omega 7 We chose Seabuckthorn due to its nutritional profile, not to mention the serious shade of orange. It contains over 190 nutrients and phytonutrients including vitamin C at a 12 x higher level than an orange. Hence, it’s new place as a superfood. Rich in carotenoids, phenols and glucoside, vitamins A, C, E and beta- carotene. The seed oil part comprises of unsaturated essential fatty acids including Linoleic and Linolenic acids, while the pulp oil has unsaturated essential fatty acids, carotenoids and vitamin E. Exfoliants shouldn’t just be about sloughing off dead skin you should be using your time scrubbing to replenish and feed your new skin cells too.

Stage one with the Nutri Mud is to get used to it as it is such a different texture to most face wash and cleansers! We are always truthful and it takes an open mind which once people conquer they tell us they would never go back! It helps to not use too much in this phase and ensure you use some water with it.

The serum will absorb and dry quickly, it should never feel sticky and leaves a matte feel. If it is sticky then you are applying too much.

Cleanse & Shave Nutrient Mud
It has a very unique texture-like whipped mud that glides on and makes your skin feel cool. Apply it neat and it feels like a creamy clay mask texture. However, as soon as you add water to your face it becomes an emulsified creamy face wash allowing you to really massage the skin and boost blood and nutrients to the skin cells.
The combination of natural clays is crucial to the anti-redness and smooth, even skin colour, but they are white. All skins - but especially darker skins definitely need a clean face flannel or muslin cloth to remove it. This is a win, as the cloth will also provide a gentle exfoliation.
